PLL clock synthesis with LVPECL fanout
The CY2213ZC-1 integrates a PLL frequency synthesizer with a fanout distribution buffer in a single 16-TSSOP package. It accepts a crystal input and generates one LVPECL output pair, with a maximum output frequency of 400 MHz. The 1:2 ratio means one crystal reference drives two LVPECL clock outputs, covering small clock trees in networking or test equipment where differential signaling is required.
The commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C limits deployment to controlled indoor environments — not suitable for industrial or automotive ambient without thermal management. The 16-TSSOP footprint (4.40 mm width) is a common surface-mount package; the 0.65 mm pitch fans out to two-layer boards with reasonable trace routing for the LVPECL differential pair.
Compliance and lifecycle reality
RoHS non-compliant per the lifecycle record. This is a hard flag for EU RoHS-required builds; verify exemption applicability or plan for a compliant alternative if the BOM mandates RoHS.
