What this N-channel HEXFET brings to a 48V rail
The AUIRFL024NTR is an N-channel power MOSFET from Infineon's HEXFET series, rated for 55 V drain-source and 2.8 A continuous switching current. Gate-source tolerance is ±20 V, which gives headroom if the gate-drive rail rings above the nominal 12 V or 15 V supply.
Temperature range and field-swap reality
That wide range also means the part can sit in a field-service kit without worrying about thermal shock when swapping it on a cold morning. Surface-mount package in bulk tube — no tape-and-reel, so it's suited for bench repairs or small production runs where you don't want to break a reel. The package is a standard SOT-223 footprint, which is easy to hand-solder with a fine-tip iron if you're doing a field swap.
