Single-channel isolated gate driver for IGBT modules
The Infineon 1EDI40I12AFXUMA1 is a single-channel isolated gate driver from the EiceDriver™ family, using magnetic coupling to transmit the drive signal across the isolation barrier. It is designed to drive IGBTs in medium- and high-power inverter stages, motor drives, and power supplies where galvanic isolation between the controller and power stage is required. The output supply range of 13V to 35V covers the typical 15V and 18V IGBT gate drive rails, and the 10ns typical rise and 9ns fall times keep switching losses manageable in hard-switched topologies. The junction temperature rating of -40°C to 150°C (TJ) allows placement close to the power module, even in thermally demanding environments like motor-drive cabinets or outdoor inverter stations.
