Single-channel isolated gate driver for IGBT/MOSFET stages
The Infineon 1EDI20I12AFXUMA1 is a single-channel isolated gate driver from the EiceDriver™ family, using magnetic coupling for galvanic isolation. It drives IGBTs and power MOSFETs in inverter and converter stages where the output supply rail sits between 13V and 35V — covering the standard 15V gate-drive level used in most industrial motor drives and UPS systems.
Output supply range — 13V to 35V
The output supply voltage of 13V to 35V sets the gate-drive amplitude for the external switch. At 15V — the typical IGBT gate threshold — the driver is operating well within its range, with headroom for desaturation detection or Miller-clamp biasing.
The 150°C TJ max allows operation in sealed enclosures with limited airflow, provided the PCB copper and thermal vias are sized for the gate-drive power dissipation.
