Active part, but watch the RoHS flag
The OP77GS: The catch: it's RoHS non-compliant, so it contains lead and cannot ship into EU RoHS-regulated end products without an exemption. If your BOM requires RoHS compliance, this part won't pass the gate; you'll need to look at the lead-free alternatives in the same function class.
The OP77GS is a single-channel general-purpose op-amp in an 8-SOIC package, but with a twist: its output type is differential. That's not the usual single-ended output you see on most jellybean op-amps. A differential output means the part drives a pair of complementary signals — useful for feeding a differential-input ADC, driving a twisted-pair line, or cancelling common-mode noise in a long cable run. The amplifier type is general purpose, so don't expect precision specs on offset or noise; it's built for the middle of the signal chain where you need a robust, flexible gain block. Supply span is rated at 30 V maximum and minimum per the datasheet.
For a rework bench or a small-run production line, Bulk is actually convenient: you grab one tube, hand-place the part, and reflow. No reel feeder setup, no tape-splice hassle. The package is an 8-SOIC with a 0.154-inch body width (3.90 mm), surface-mount only.
