Package and mounting — SOT-23-8 reality
SOT-23-8 is a standard surface-mount footprint shared by many small-signal amplifiers and comparators. The land pattern is compact, so hand-soldering is possible but a hot-air rework station is cleaner for proto spins. Bulk packaging means the parts ship loose in a bag or tube — no tape-and-reel feeder for pick-and-place unless you transfer to a carrier. If your line runs only reeled parts, factor in the manual handling step.
