3W per channel into 3 Ohm — the load it drives
The MAX9710ETP-T is a Class AB stereo audio power amplifier delivering 3W x 2 channels at 3 Ohm loads from a 4.5V to 5.5V single supply. That 3W figure is the continuous output into a 3-Ohm speaker — the power drops into higher-impedance loads, so the actual SPL in a portable speaker or soundbar depends on the speaker impedance chosen.
Package and rework — 20-TQFN exposed pad
Housed in a 20-TQFN 5x5 mm exposed-pad package (also listed as 20-WQFN Exposed Pad). Surface-mount only; no through-hole option. The exposed pad makes rework straightforward with hot air if you preheat the board to 100-120°C first — the part lifts clean without pulling the pad if the solder is fully liquid.
Industrial temperature range and compliance
This is a flag for EU RoHS-regulated BOMs; legacy or exempt applications may accept it, but new designs targeting full RoHS compliance should check the exemption status.
