Quad comparator with 40 ns response — what it buys you
The MAX9144ESD+T is a quad general-purpose comparator from Maxim Integrated, packing four independent comparators into a single 14-SOIC package. Its headline spec is the 40 ns maximum propagation delay — fast enough to catch overcurrent faults or zero-crossing events in motor drives and power supplies without missing the edge. Outputs are CMOS, push-pull, or TTL compatible, so it can drive logic inputs directly without a pull-up resistor.
81.94 dB CMRR and PSRR — noise rejection in industrial environments
Typical CMRR and PSRR are 81.94 dB each. The 1.5 mV internal hysteresis cleans up the switching threshold on slow-moving signals.
Supply and quiescent current — power budget fit
Quiescent current maxes out at 300 µA per device. Input bias current is 0.32 µA max at 5 V.
That means the BOM line is safe from last-time-buy surprises for the foreseeable future.
