2.78V threshold supervisor in SOT-143-4
The Maxim Integrated MAX821UUS-T is a simple reset/power-on reset IC that monitors a single voltage rail and asserts an active-low reset when the supply drops below 2.78V. The reset output is push-pull, totem-pole, so no external pull-up resistor is needed. The reset timeout is adjustable or selectable via an external capacitor, giving the designer control over the power-up delay. The device operates over the full -40°C to 125°C temperature range, making it suitable for industrial and automotive under-hood environments where the supervisor must stay reliable through cold cranks and hot soak.
Active production, no LTB risk
The MAX821UUS-T is listed as Active on the manufacturer's lifecycle record. There is no last-time-buy notice or NRND flag.
RoHS non-compliant — verify your assembly line
This part is marked RoHS non-compliant. If your assembly process requires lead-free solder and RoHS-consistent materials, the MAX821UUS-T will not pass incoming inspection. Check whether your contract manufacturer can accommodate a tin-lead finish, or look for a RoHS-compliant variant in the same family.
