Elliptic lowpass at 10 kHz — the anti-aliasing decision
The MAX7403CSA+ is an 8th-order elliptic switched-capacitor lowpass filter from Analog Devices, with a 10 kHz cutoff frequency. The elliptic (Cauer) response gives a steep roll-off beyond the passband — the stopband attenuation builds quickly, which matters when you are cleaning up a sampled signal before an ADC and need to suppress out-of-band noise without a multi-stage RC ladder.
