Product details

Eight-port I²C expander for industrial and automotive I/O

The Maxim Integrated MAX7320ATE+ is an 8-bit I²C GPIO expander that provides eight configurable I/O ports with open-drain or push-pull output selection.

Output drive and port configuration

Each of the eight I/Os can sink or source up to 25 mA, allowing direct drive of LEDs, small relays, or logic-level loads without external buffers. The output type is selectable per port between open-drain and push-pull, giving flexibility for wired-OR connections or standard digital outputs. No interrupt output is provided, so the host must poll the expander over I²C to detect input changes.

Package and footprint details

For current designs, this part presents no near-term obsolescence risk.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy MAX7320ATE+?

Submit an RFQ to receive current pricing and availability — no minimum order quantity is required for a quote.

Does MAX7320ATE+ support an interrupt output?

No, the MAX7320ATE+ does not include an interrupt output pin. The host microcontroller must poll the I²C bus to detect input state changes.
