Dual-rail monitoring in a SOT-23-6 footprint
The MAX6830SVUT is a multi-voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that monitors two independent supply rails with thresholds of 1.575V and 2.93V, asserting an active high reset when either rail drops below its threshold. The reset output is push-pull, totem pole, eliminating the need for an external pull-up resistor and providing a clean logic-level signal to the downstream processor or FPGA. With a minimum reset timeout of 140ms, the part holds the system in reset long enough for the monitored rails to stabilize after power-up, preventing premature processor startup.
Threshold selection and temperature range
The SOT-23-6 package occupies minimal board area (roughly 3mm x 3mm), fitting into space-constrained designs where a separate supervisor for each rail would double the footprint.
Lifecycle and compliance reality
For RoHS-required builds, qualify the lead-free variant from the same family.
