Two-rail monitoring in a six-pin SOT-23
The MAX6828RUT-T: The reset output is open-drain, so it can be wire-ORed with other reset sources on the same bus. One channel has a fixed 2.63 V threshold; the second channel accepts an adjustable threshold set by an external resistor divider. This lets a single supervisor cover a core rail and an I/O rail, or a primary supply and a backup battery, without adding a second monitor IC. The reset timeout is 140 ms minimum, which holds the system in reset long enough for all power rails to stabilize after a brownout or power-up sequence.
This is typical for many Analog Devices supervisors in the SOT-23 package and should be flagged for any BOM that requires full RoHS conformance. Sourced through independent distribution channels against an RFQ.
Housed in a 6-lead SOT-23 package (supplier device package SOT-23-6), the MAX6828RUT-T is a surface-mount part with a 0.95 mm pitch. The open-drain output requires a pull-up resistor to the reset rail voltage. The 140 ms reset timeout is internally fixed, so no external capacitor is needed for the timing interval.
