The MAX6828MUT-T is a multi-voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that monitors two system voltages and asserts a single active-low reset output when either supply falls below its threshold. Housed in a SOT-23-6 surface-mount package, it fits into compact board layouts where space is tight and the supervisor sits near the monitored rails.

Thresholds and reset timing

One channel has a fixed 4.38 V threshold; the second channel accepts an adjustable threshold set by an external resistor divider, giving flexibility to monitor a secondary rail at any voltage below the main input. The reset timeout is a minimum of 140 ms, long enough to let the monitored rails stabilise after a power-up or brown-out event before the system processor comes out of reset.
