Output type and board integration
The MAX6802UR46D3: The open-drain output (active low) requires a pull-up resistor to the logic supply rail — typically 4.7 kΩ to 10 kΩ to a 3.3V or 5V microcontroller GPIO. The output sinks current when the reset is asserted, so the pull-up value sets the rise time on release. Housed in a 3-pin SOT-23-3 (SC-59, TO-236-3) surface-mount package, the footprint is standard and mates with the common SOT-23-3 land pattern — no special fan-out needed on a two-layer board. It monitors a single voltage rail. For multi-rail systems, a separate supervisor per rail or a multi-channel device would be needed.
