Dual-rail supervisor for automotive power sequencing
The MAX6762TAWED3 is a multi-voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that monitors two supply rails — 0.9 V and 1.8 V — and asserts an active-low reset when either falls below its threshold.
Thresholds, timeout, and output drive
The two monitored thresholds are set at 0.9 V and 1.8 V — typical for a 1.8 V I/O supply and a sub-1 V core rail. When either rail dips below its threshold, the reset output pulls low and holds for a minimum 100 ms after both rails recover. The reset output can be configured as open-drain or push-pull, giving the designer the choice of wired-OR sharing with other supervisors or a direct drive to the processor reset pin.
The 3x3 mm footprint keeps the board area small, and the exposed pad doubles as the thermal and electrical ground connection — critical for keeping the junction temperature within the 125°C limit in a hot engine bay.
