Dual-voltage window detector for automotive ECU supply rails
The MAX6762TATZD0+: The open-drain output sinks the reset signal without a pull-up conflict — it wires directly to the ECU's shared reset line alongside other supervisors. Qualified to AEC-Q100, the part operates across -40°C to +125°C, covering the under-hood ambient temperature band with margin for self-heating.
Reset timing and output drive
The reset timeout is 20 µs typical — fast enough to catch a supply glitch before the downstream microcontroller's brown-out detector trips, but slow enough to ignore supply noise from the alternator ripple. The open-drain output sinks current from an external pull-up resistor tied to the supervisor's own supply or a separate rail; the reset remains asserted until both monitored voltages return to their valid windows.
Surface-mount assembly with a bulk tube shipment format; the 0.65 mm pitch allows two-layer board fan-out without micro-vias.
