Triple voltage monitoring in a compact footprint
The MAX6725KAZWD3+ is a triple power-supply monitor from Analog Devices, tracking three independent voltage rails with thresholds at 1.665 V, 2.313 V, and an adjustable third input. It asserts both active-high and active-low reset outputs via open-drain drivers, with a minimum reset timeout of 140 ms to hold the system in reset until the rails settle.
Threshold selection and reset behaviour
The dual reset outputs (active-high and active-low) eliminate the need for an external inverter when driving both a microcontroller reset pin and an enable signal for a downstream regulator. A 140 ms minimum reset timeout gives the power rails time to reach regulation before the processor starts executing code, preventing brown-out boot failures on fast-rising supplies.
