Active production — dual-voltage supervisor in SOT-23-6
The MAX6721UTYDD3+ is an active-production dual-voltage power supply monitor from Analog Devices, packaged in a SOT-23-6 surface-mount footprint. It monitors two independent voltage rails with factory-programmed thresholds of 0.788 V and 2.188 V, asserting an active-low reset when either rail drops below its threshold.
What the 140 ms reset timeout buys you
The minimum reset timeout of 140 ms gives the downstream processor a guaranteed hold-off window after the supply rails cross the rising threshold. This keeps the CPU in reset long enough for the oscillator to stabilise and the core supply to settle before the first instruction fetch — a common requirement for MCUs and FPGAs that need a clean power-good signal before releasing the reset line. Because the timeout is a minimum spec, the actual delay is longer; the datasheet typical value will be greater than 140 ms, so the processor sees at least that much settling time across temperature and process corners.
Industrial temperature grade and deployment context
The SOT-23-6 package keeps the footprint small — useful when monitoring multiple rails on a dense mixed-signal board.
