What the dual-threshold supervisor does on your board
The MAX6718UKZGD3-T is a 2-channel multi-voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that monitors two independent supply rails against precision thresholds of 1.11V and 2.313V. When either rail drops below its threshold, the active-low reset output pulls low and holds for a minimum 140ms timeout after all monitored voltages recover — this debounce window keeps the downstream processor in reset until the supplies are stable. The SOT-23-5 package (SC-74A footprint) fits into space-constrained designs where a separate supervisor for each rail would consume too much area.
Active lifecycle and what it means for procurement
For a BOM line that already qualifies this supervisor, there is no immediate pressure to redesign or source a replacement. Note the RoHS non-compliant designation — the MAX6718UKZGD3-T uses a lead-bearing finish. If your assembly process requires full RoHS 10/10 compliance (including the solder finish), you will need to verify whether your reflow profile and end-product exemption allow this part, or whether a lead-free variant exists in the same family.
The SOT-23-5 package with a 0.95 mm pitch and 2.9 x 1.6 mm body fits into a standard two-layer PCB layout; the active-low reset line routes directly to the processor's reset input without a buffer.
