Dual-threshold supervisor for multi-rail sequencing
The MAX6717UKSVD3-T is a dual-voltage power supply monitor from Analog Devices that asserts a reset signal when either monitored rail drops below its threshold — 1.575 V on one input and 2.925 V on the other. The reset output is active-low, open-drain, so it pulls low when a fault is detected and releases to a high-impedance state when both rails are valid. That open-drain structure lets you wire-OR the reset with other supervisors or pull it up to a different voltage rail — common on boards where the supervisor runs from a higher supply than the monitored core.
Reset timing and temperature range
The reset timeout is a minimum of 140 ms after both rails return above threshold. That delay prevents the system from restarting during a brief brownout or supply glitch — long enough for the downstream regulator to settle but short enough that a 200 ms power-cycle still triggers a clean reset. The SOT-23-5 footprint (SC-74A case) keeps the board area under 9 mm², so it fits into dense multi-rail designs without a layout compromise.
