What this supervisor does on your board
The Analog Devices MAX6708TKA-T is a multi-voltage supervisor that monitors two supply rails — one at a fixed 3.08 V threshold, the second adjustable via external resistors — and asserts both an active-high and active-low reset output when either voltage drops below its threshold. The push-pull outputs drive directly into the reset and power-good inputs of most MCUs, FPGAs, and SoCs without needing an external pull-up. The 140 ms minimum reset timeout holds the system in reset long enough for all rails to stabilise before the processor starts executing code.
Sourcing and lifecycle
It is RoHS non-compliant, so if your BOM requires RoHS exemption documentation or a fully compliant part, factor that into the procurement review.
