Multi-Voltage Supervisor in SOT-23-8 — what it monitors and how it resets
The MAX6707YKA-T from Analog Devices (Maxim) is a multi-voltage supervisor that monitors two supply rails — one fixed at 2.19V threshold, the other adjustable via external resistors. It asserts an active-low, open-drain reset output when either monitored voltage falls below its threshold, and holds reset for a minimum of 140ms after all rails return above threshold. The SOT-23-8 package keeps the footprint small for dense boards where a single supervisor must watch both a core and an I/O rail.
Threshold selection and the adjustable channel
One channel is factory-trimmed to 2.19V. The second channel is adjustable via a resistor divider to the ADJ pin.
Temperature range and operating environment
Rated for -40°C to 125°C, the MAX6707YKA-T covers industrial and automotive under-hood environments. The SOT-23-8 package is a standard surface-mount footprint, compatible with reflow soldering and conformal coating processes. The 140ms minimum reset timeout is long enough to let most MCUs and SoCs complete their power-on reset sequence before the supervisor releases the reset line.
