Threshold voltage and what it guards
The MAX6461UR43+T: When the monitored supply drops below this level, the device asserts a reset signal to hold the downstream processor or logic in a known state until the rail recovers.
Output behavior and reset polarity
No external pull-up resistor is needed on the output pin. Typical propagation delay is 14 µs — the time from the supply crossing the threshold to the output switching. This is fast enough to catch most brownout events before the downstream logic enters an undefined state.
Temperature range and operating environment
The threshold accuracy and propagation delay are specified across this range, not just at 25°C.
Supplied in the SOT-23-3 package (TO-236-3, SC-59 equivalent), a three-pin surface-mount footprint that is widely used for small-signal and monitoring ICs. The pinout is standard for this class: ground, reset output, and supply input.
