Active-high reset — check your processor's reset pin
The MAX6407BS26 outputs an active-high reset signal. That means the reset pin on your MCU or SoC must be active-high as well — many processors use active-low (/RESET). If your design expects an active-low reset, this part will hold the processor in reset when the rail is good and release it when the rail drops, which is backwards. Confirm the reset polarity on the target device before committing this part to the BOM.
Temperature grade and environment
Rated for -40°C to 85°C ambient, this supervisor covers industrial and commercial environments — factory automation, telecom base stations, outdoor instrumentation, and automotive cabin (non-engine-bay) applications. Not rated for extended automotive under-hood or military temperature ranges.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Note the RoHS status: listed as non-compliant, so verify your assembly house's exemption policy if you require full RoHS compliance.
