Dual-voltage supervisor for mixed-rail systems
The Maxim Integrated MAX6387XS31D3 is a two-channel multi-voltage supervisor designed to monitor both a fixed 3.08 V rail and a second adjustable-threshold input, asserting an active-low reset when either supply drops below its threshold. The push-pull output eliminates the need for an external pull-up resistor, simplifying the interface to the downstream MCU or FPGA reset pin. The 140 ms minimum reset timeout provides adequate hold time for most power-supply ramp sequences, ensuring the core logic starts from a known state.
Temperature range and operating environment
Rated for -40°C to 125°C ambient, this supervisor suits automotive under-hood, industrial motor-drive, and outdoor telecom equipment where the board sees wide thermal cycling. The SC-70-4 package keeps the footprint small enough for dense mixed-signal boards.
RoHS status — a BOM constraint
Marked as RoHS non-compliant, this part may require an exemption or a leaded-solder process. For RoHS-mandated builds, verify your assembly line's ability to handle SnPb finishes.
