2.31V threshold reset for processor supervision
The MAX6386XS23D2+T: When the monitored supply drops below this level, the active-low open-drain output asserts, holding the target processor or microcontroller in reset until the rail stabilizes and the 20ms minimum reset timeout elapses.
Open-drain output and threshold accuracy
The open-drain or open-collector output allows wired-OR connection with other reset sources, and requires an external pull-up resistor to the supervisor's supply rail. The 2.31V threshold is suited for monitoring 2.5V or 3.3V nominal rails, providing a reset assertion before the core voltage falls below the processor's minimum operating level. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 125°C, covering industrial equipment and under-hood automotive ambient conditions where the supervisor must remain reliable across thermal extremes.
SC-70-4 footprint and surface-mount assembly
Supplied in an SC-82A / SOT-343 package, also designated as SC-70-4, with four leads for surface-mount placement. The compact footprint suits dense PCB layouts where board space is constrained, such as in portable instrumentation or distributed sensor nodes. Supplied in strip packaging for automated pick-and-place.
