Rated for -40°C to 125°C ambient, this part handles the thermal extremes you see in engine-bay electronics, industrial motor drives, and outdoor telecom enclosures. The SC-70-3 package keeps board area small — useful when the supervisor sits near the processor or ASIC it monitors rather than on a separate power-management card.
Open-drain output — what it means for the BOM
Because the output is open-drain, you need an external pull-up resistor to the reset input's supply rail. That pull-up also lets you connect multiple open-drain reset outputs together in a wired-OR configuration — handy if you have several voltage rails and want a single master reset signal. The active-low polarity means the reset pin on the downstream IC must also be active-low, which is the convention on most MCUs, DSPs, and FPGAs.
