Package and board-fit — 6-uDFN 1.5x1mm
The MAX6383LT17D6+ comes in a 6-WFDFN package with a supplier device package of 6-uDFN measuring 1.5x1mm. That footprint is roughly the size of a 0402 resistor — it fits under a BGA shadow or on the back side of a dense mixed-signal board where every mm² is accounted for.
Threshold and timeout — what the 1.67V and 560ms mean for the rail
The 1.67V threshold is the exact trip point for the monitored supply. If the rail dips below that level, the active-low RESET output (open-drain) pulls low immediately. The 560ms minimum reset timeout starts when the rail recovers above the threshold — this debounce window holds the processor in reset long enough for the oscillator and PLL to stabilise before code execution begins. Single-channel monitoring means one package watches one voltage rail. For a 1.8V core supply or a 1.8V I/O bank, the 1.67V threshold sits about 130 mV below nominal — close enough to catch a brownout before logic corruption, but not so tight that normal ripple triggers false resets.
That covers the full industrial temperature band plus the automotive cabin and under-hood zones. The threshold accuracy and timeout drift across this range are specified in the datasheet — expect the trip point to shift by a few mV at the extremes, but the 560ms timeout holds within the min/max window.
Sourcing and lifecycle — active production
The small 6-uDFN package is a standard Analog Devices offering — no unusual allocation risk.
