Threshold and output — the fit decision
The MAX6380UR44-T is a single-voltage detector with a 4.38V threshold and an active-low, open-drain output. That threshold sits just below a nominal 4.5V rail — it asserts reset when the supply drops to 4.38V or below, giving the downstream logic a clean shutdown before the rail collapses.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a standard SOT-23-3 (TO-236-3 / SC-59) surface-mount package. The three-pin footprint — VCC, GND, and output — is a common layout shared across many voltage supervisors from multiple vendors, so a PCB already routed for a generic SOT-23-3 reset IC will accept this part with no board spin.
Lifecycle and compliance note
The RoHS status is non-compliant, which means this variant uses lead-bearing terminations. If your BOM requires full RoHS exemption or Pb-free assembly, flag this at the sourcing desk; the non-compliant suffix (-T) distinguishes it from the lead-free siblings in the MAX6380 family.
