Single-channel supervisor with battery backup switchover
This part is designed for applications where a microcontroller or DSP needs a clean reset during power-up, power-down, or brownout conditions, and where battery backup switching is required to preserve SRAM or real-time clock data.
Because the reset output is active-low push-pull, the BOM saves a pull-up resistor compared to open-drain supervisors. The SOT-23-8 package fits tight layouts but still provides enough pins for the battery backup function — the backup battery connects to VBATT, and the supervisor switches the load to the backup when VCC drops.
For BOM planning, that removes the risk of a sudden discontinuation. RoHS3 compliance covers the latest EU directive requirements.
