What this supervisor does — three rails, one package
The MAX6355TWUT-T from Maxim Integrated is a three-channel multi-voltage supervisor in a SOT-23-6 package. It monitors up to three supply voltages simultaneously: two fixed thresholds at 1.67 V and 3.08 V, plus a third adjustable input that lets you set any threshold with an external resistor divider. The reset output is active-low, open-drain, and asserts for a minimum of 100 ms when any monitored rail drops below its threshold. This part is designed for systems that need to sequence or protect multiple power domains — think multi-rail FPGAs, SoCs, or mixed-signal boards where a single supervisor IC replaces several discrete reset generators.
Temperature range and package — where it fits
Rated for -40°C to 85°C ambient, the MAX6355TWUT-T covers industrial and commercial environments — factory automation, telecom infrastructure, test equipment, and general-purpose embedded systems. The SOT-23-6 footprint is compact enough for space-constrained designs but still hand-solderable for prototyping or rework. Surface-mount only; no through-hole variant exists.
RoHS non-compliance — a sourcing constraint
This part is marked RoHS non-compliant. It contains lead (Pb) above the RoHS exemption thresholds. If your product must ship into RoHS-regulated markets (EU, California, etc.), this part will not pass compliance. It remains suitable for military, aerospace, or other exempt applications where leaded solder is still permitted. The lifecycle status is Active, so Maxim still manufactures it — no end-of-life notice is on record.
