No external pull-up resistor is needed because the output is push-pull.
The push-pull output drives the reset line high or low without an external pull-up resistor. That saves a component and simplifies the layout. Open-drain versions exist in the same family if you need wired-OR sharing with other reset sources.
It has a push-pull, totem-pole output.
The reset timeout is 100ms minimum. The system stays in reset for at least that duration after the supply rises above the threshold.
