The MAX6334UR20D3+ is a simple reset/power-on reset IC from Analog Devices, monitoring a single voltage rail with a 2 V threshold. When the supply drops below that threshold, the active-low, open-drain output pulls low and holds the reset state for a minimum of 100 ms after the rail recovers — long enough for the downstream processor's oscillator and PLL to stabilise before code execution starts. The 2 V threshold is a natural fit for 1.8 V and 2.0 V logic rails, where a brownout below the core minimum can corrupt register states or cause flash write failures.
Industrial temperature range, SOT-23-3 package
The SOT-23-3 package (also known as TO-236-3 or SC-59) is a common three-pin footprint that reflows on standard 0.95 mm pitch pads — no special stencil or profile needed. The 100 ms minimum reset timeout is a datasheet minimum, not a typical — the actual timeout can be longer, but the processor sees at least 100 ms of reset-asserted time after the rail crosses the threshold. This margin covers the start-up settling of most low-power MCUs and FPGAs.
