Low-power operation for battery and portable gear
The MAX6023EBT12+: The reference draws only 35 µA of supply current while sourcing up to 500 µA to the load — a quiescent current low enough that a coin cell can power the reference for months in a sensor node that wakes periodically.
Tiny footprint for dense PCB layouts
Housed in a 5-ball WFBGA / CSPBGA (supplier device package 5-UCSP, 1 × 1.52 mm), the MAX6023EBT12+ occupies less board area than a 0402 resistor — critical when every square millimeter counts in a multi-channel data-acquisition module. The series reference topology means the output is buffered internally; no external output capacitor is required for stability, though a 0.1 µF bypass at the input is standard practice to decouple supply noise.
