Device identity and OTP architecture
The MAX5428ETA is a one-time-programmable (OTP) digital potentiometer with a linear-taper resistance characteristic, from Analog Devices. The OTP architecture means the wiper position is set permanently after programming — there is no volatile register to reload at power-up, and no field reconfiguration after the programming cycle.
Lifecycle and compliance — active, but not RoHS
A BOM that requires full RoHS conformance will need an alternative or an approved exemption.
Package format and procurement context
Supplied in Bulk packaging — typical for engineering samples, low-volume production, or prototyping where tape-and-reel feed is not required. For current pricing and availability, submit an RFQ — the part is sourced through independent distribution channels and confirmed at quote time.
