Single general-purpose op-amp with 12 MHz GBW and rail-to-rail output
Supply current is 2 mA per amplifier.
The 12 MHz gain-bandwidth product sets the small-signal bandwidth at a given closed-loop gain. At unity gain the -3 dB point is 12 MHz; at a gain of 10 it drops to 1.2 MHz. The 17 V/µs slew rate determines how fast the output can swing under large-signal conditions — a 5 V peak-to-peak step settles in about 300 ns. For applications like ADC input buffering, active filters, or sensor signal conditioning, these numbers place the MAX473CUA+ in the mid-speed tier: fast enough for audio-band and low-MHz signals, but not intended for video or high-speed data acquisition.
Package and footprint: 8-µMAX on 0.118-inch pitch
The 8-µMAX package (also described as 8-TSSOP / 8-MSOP, 3.00 mm body width, 0.118" pitch) is a standard small-outline footprint shared with many general-purpose op-amps and comparators. Surface-mount assembly with typical reflow profiles for MSOP applies. The part is ROHS3 compliant.
For a BOM line this means no forced redesign or alternate qualification cycle in the near term.
