Signal routing with low on-resistance and fast switching
The MAX4734EUB+ is a single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) analog switch that routes one common input to one of four outputs, or functions as a 4:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer. Its 800 mOhm maximum on-resistance keeps signal attenuation minimal in precision analog paths, while the 100 mOhm channel-to-channel matching ensures consistent performance across all switch positions. Switching times of 25 ns (ton) and 20 ns (toff) max allow fast channel selection, and the -56 dB crosstalk at 1 MHz provides adequate isolation for mixed-signal boards where analog and digital signals share the same IC.
Bandwidth and charge injection for signal integrity
The 90 MHz -3 dB bandwidth supports multiplexing of video or high-speed data signals up to that frequency. Charge injection is 60 pC typical, a figure to budget for in sample-and-hold or ADC front-end designs where the injected charge can cause a settling error. Off-channel leakage is just 1 nA max, and the off-channel capacitance is 33 pF on the source side and 117 pF on the drain side — these parasitics define the isolation floor at higher frequencies and should be factored into any SPICE simulation of the switch in-circuit.
Housed in a 10-pin MSOP (3.00 mm width, 0.118" body) — the 10-uMAX/uSOP supplier package designation is the same footprint. The tube packaging means the part ships in a stick, not tape-and-reel, which matters for pick-and-place setup if your line expects reeled parts.
