Package and mounting
The MAX4620ESD packs four independent SPST normally-open analog switches into a 14-pin SOIC. Each switch is a 1:1 mux/demux, so it either connects the signal straight through or leaves the channel open. With a 70 ohm max on-resistance and 500 mOhm channel-to-channel matching, it handles low-level analog signals without introducing offset between paths. Supply range is 2 V to 12 V single supply. The switches are SPST - Open.
Switching speed and leakage — the real-world limits
Turn-on time is 150 ns max, turn-off is 80 ns max. Off-state leakage is 500 pA max. Channel capacitance is 20 pF on the source side, 12 pF on the drain side.
Package and temperature range — field-fit note
The MAX4620ESD comes in a 14-SOIC wide-body (0.154 inch width, 3.90 mm). It's surface-mount only, so no socket for field swapping unless you have a hot-air station or a fine-tipped iron and steady hands. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, which covers industrial control cabinets and outdoor telecom enclosures but not under-hood automotive or engine-bay environments. That matters if your pick-and-place line expects reels; plan to hand-place or transfer to tape if you're doing high-volume assembly.
Lifecycle and sourcing
It is not RoHS compliant per the listing, so check your assembly house's solder profile if you need lead-free — this part uses tin-lead finish.
