Dual SP4T analog multiplexer for commercial signal routing
The Maxim Integrated MAX4582CEE+ is a dual 4:1 analog multiplexer (two independent SP4T switch circuits) in a 16-QSOP surface-mount package. It routes one of four inputs to a common output per channel, with an on-resistance of 80 Ohm max and channel-to-channel matching within 1 Ohm. The switch operates from a single 2 V to 12 V supply or dual ±2 V to ±6 V rails, making it suitable for level-shifting and bipolar signal chains in commercial test equipment, data acquisition front-ends, and audio routing.
Turn-on time is 200 ns max, turn-off 100 ns max, which allows the multiplexer to keep up with moderate-speed analog sampling without introducing dead time. Charge injection is rated at 0.5 pC typical — low enough that a downstream sample-and-hold or ADC sees minimal glitch energy when the channel switches. Off-leakage current stays under 1 nA, so high-impedance sources are not loaded.
Crosstalk and capacitance — isolation budget for the board
Crosstalk between channels is specified at -96 dB at 1 MHz, giving clean isolation when multiplexing separate analog signals at audio or low-RF frequencies. Channel off-capacitance is 4 pF on the source side and 10 pF on the drain side — a factor to include in the settling-time calculation for the front-end amplifier.
The device is supplied in a 16-pin QSOP (also listed as 16-SSOP, 0.154" body width, 3.90 mm). The supplier device package is 16-QSOP. MSL level is not listed but typical for this package family is MSL 1 — verify with the latest reel label if moisture sensitivity is a concern.
Temperature grade and deployment scope
It is not specified for industrial or automotive extended-temperature operation.
