Single-supply instrumentation amp in a SOT-23-6
The MAX4462HEUT: It is designed for precision differential signal conditioning where low power and small board area matter. Key specs include a gain-bandwidth product of 2.5 MHz, a slew rate of 0.5 V/µs, rail-to-rail output swing, and a supply current of 800 µA. Input bias current is just 1 pA, and input offset voltage is 100 µV, making it suitable for sensor front-ends and bridge amplifier circuits.
The 0.5 V/µs slew rate limits the large-signal bandwidth to roughly 80 kHz for a 2 V peak-to-peak output swing. This is adequate for audio, low-frequency vibration, and DC-coupled bridge measurements, but not for high-speed data acquisition or video. The 25 kHz -3 dB bandwidth confirms the part is optimised for precision, not speed.
Each channel can source or sink up to 150 mA, enough to drive an ADC input or a moderate load directly. The 800 µA quiescent current keeps the thermal budget low in a SOT-23-6 with no exposed pad.
Temperature range and environment
Not qualified to AEC-Q100, so it is not specified for automotive under-hood or chassis domains.
Lifecycle and sourcing
RoHS non-compliant — verify your assembly line's exemption allowance.
