Dual general-purpose op-amp in a compact 8-µMAX package
It features a rail-to-rail output stage, a slew rate of 1V/µs, and draws 6mA total supply current for both amplifiers.
With a 1V/µs slew rate, this amplifier is suited for signals up to roughly 100 kHz at full output swing before slew-induced distortion becomes a factor. For lower-amplitude signals the usable bandwidth extends higher, but if you need to reproduce a 10V peak-to-peak sine wave cleanly above 150 kHz, this part will start rounding the edges. The rail-to-rail output helps maintain dynamic range on a single 5V or 12V supply, which is handy when the ADC reference is the same rail.
Package and rework considerations
The 8-µMAX (MSOP-8) package has a 0.118-inch body width and a 0.65mm pin pitch. It is a standard lead-frame package, so it reflows well with a typical lead-free profile and is hand-reworkable with hot air if you preheat the board to 100°C to avoid pad lift. The small footprint means the thermal pad is not present — all heat dissipates through the leads, so keep the ambient airflow reasonable if you are driving both channels near the 95mA output current limit continuously.
Lifecycle and compliance
Note that this variant is listed as RoHS non-compliant, so it is not suitable for assemblies requiring RoHS exemption-free compliance. For RoHS-compliant needs, check the lead-free suffix variants in the same family.
