Dual 3A rail for automotive power trees
The MAX20416ATGD/V+ is a dual-channel step-down (buck) regulator from Analog Devices, rated for 3 A per output with a 2.2 MHz switching frequency. The adjustable output from 0.8 V to 3.8 V handles core voltages for MCUs, FPGAs, or sensor ASICs.
AEC-Q100 Grade 1 thermal envelope
The synchronous rectifier topology keeps efficiency above 90% across most of the load range, which eases the thermal budget in a sealed enclosure. The 24-TQFN (4x4 mm) package with exposed pad requires a thermal land on the PCB to sink heat into the inner copper planes. The datasheet's recommended footprint includes a 3.3x3.3 mm pad with at least nine thermal vias to the ground plane.
No pin-compatible second source or direct replacement is listed from Analog Devices. The part is single-sourced, so a BOM risk review — especially for high-volume production — should consider stocking buffer or an alternate layout path.
