Product details

Dual 750 mA buck regulator with programmable output

The Analog Devices MAX1970EEE+ is a dual-output step-down (buck) switching regulator delivering up to 750 mA per channel from a 2.6 V to 5.5 V input rail. Its 1.4 MHz switching frequency lets the designer use small external inductors and capacitors, keeping the total solution footprint compact. The output voltage is pin-strapped to one of five fixed presets — 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, or 3.3 V — or set with an external resistor divider via the adjustable option. Internal synchronous rectifiers eliminate the external Schottky diode, improving efficiency at moderate loads.

Output voltage selection — fixed presets cover common logic rails

The MAX1970EEE+ offers five factory-programmed output voltages: 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V, selected by a logic input. For non-standard voltages, the adjustable mode (down to 1.2 V) uses an external resistor divider. The output can be set as high as 5.5 V, matching the maximum input voltage.

For new designs, this part presents no LTB risk.

Frequently asked questions

Can MAX1970EEE+ output 1.8V?

Yes. 1.8 V is one of the five factory-programmed output presets, selectable by a logic input.
