Li-Ion charge management for multi-cell packs
The MAX1758EAI+T is a constant-current, constant-voltage Li-Ion charger IC handling 1 to 4 series cells with a maximum pack voltage of 19 V and a programmable charge current up to 1.5 A. Input supply tolerance reaches 28 V max, giving headroom for unregulated wall adapters or 24 V rails common in industrial and portable equipment. A programmable timer controls charge termination — no I²C or SMBus host is required, simplifying integration into standalone charger designs.
