Dual 1A step-down for wide-input industrial rails
The MAX17521ATG+T is a dual-output synchronous buck regulator from Analog Devices, delivering 1 A per channel from a 4.5 V to 60 V input rail. Switching frequency is pin-selectable between 560 kHz and 300 kHz — the higher setting shrinks the inductor footprint, while the lower setting reduces switching losses in noise-sensitive or lightly loaded designs. The synchronous rectifier eliminates the external Schottky diode, keeping the BOM count low and efficiency above 90% across most of the load range in a typical 24 V to 3.3 V conversion.
Temperature grade and package for board-level integration
The 125°C ceiling gives headroom above the 105°C common in factory-floor PSUs. The 0.5 mm pitch demands a 2-layer board with thermal vias under the pad for full-rated current at high ambient.
