Boost converter for battery-powered and low-voltage rails
It accepts an input voltage as low as 0.7 V and delivers an adjustable output up to 5.5 V, with fixed 2 V, 3.3 V, or 5 V options selectable via the output voltage programming pin.
Input range and output flexibility
The 0.7 V minimum input lets the converter start from a nearly depleted alkaline or NiMH cell. The 5.5 V maximum input and output ceiling keeps the part in the low-voltage domain, so it pairs naturally with 3.3 V or 5 V logic rails without needing an external LDO. The synchronous rectifier improves efficiency at moderate loads by replacing the catch diode with a low-Rds(on) FET.
