The MAX1496EAI+ is a 3.5-digit ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 50 readings per second across two input channels. The 3.5-digit resolution gives a ±1999 count display — enough for panel meters, digital voltmeters, and process monitors where 4¾-digit precision would be overkill.
Sampling at 50 SPS, it rejects 50 Hz line noise naturally if you pick the right integration period, which is handy for mains-powered instruments.
