The MAX13080EESD+T is a single RS-485/RS-422 transceiver from Analog Devices, offering full-duplex communication over a single twisted-pair or multi-drop bus. With one driver and one receiver on-chip, it handles point-to-point or small multi-drop networks at data rates up to 250 kbps — a common speed for industrial fieldbus links, building automation, and motor-drive feedback lines where the cable length runs tens to hundreds of metres. The receiver hysteresis of 100 mV provides noise immunity on long cable runs, reducing the chance of false edges from ground shifts or coupled interference.
