Boost regulator for battery-powered rails
The LTC3459EDCB#TRMPBF is a synchronous step-up (boost) DC-DC converter that generates an adjustable output voltage from a low-voltage input. It accepts inputs from 1.5 V up to 5.5 V and delivers an output adjustable from 2.5 V up to 10 V (switch rating), with a 60 mA switch current limit.
Input range and output flexibility
With a minimum input of 1.5 V, this part can start from a single alkaline cell or a Li-Ion battery near its end-of-discharge voltage. The maximum input of 5.5 V covers USB bus power and regulated 5 V rails without overvoltage stress. The output can be programmed up to the switch breakdown voltage of 10 V, making it suitable for biasing LCD bias supplies, sensor rails, or low-power wireless modules.
Package and thermal considerations
Housed in a 6-lead WFDFN with exposed pad, the 2x3 mm DFN footprint keeps the solution compact for space-constrained portable designs.
